Dan Landbo
Hi! My name is Dan Landbo. I moved to Waupun, Wisconsin in 2002 from Columbus, Ohio -- to get married -- so the memories of my own wedding are still fairly fresh! For over 25 years I've been a corporate graphic designer and photographer.
Why am I doing this? I've become aware of the need in our area, especially in this new economy, for affordable quality wedding and event photography.
For decades, wedding photographers have had running jokes about a fictitous "Uncle Harry" -- the well-meaning uncle of the bride that just got a nice camera, and, in an attempt to cut wedding budget corners, is entrusted with capturing the precious wedding photography. Is this a wise idea? That's a lot of pressure on Uncle Harry. And you get what you pay for, right? I want you to let your own Uncle Harry just enjoy the day, and leave the photography to an affordable professional, like myself.
While new in the Wisconsin wedding arena, my similar work -- in the form of corporate and community event photography -- has been a big part of my career. Annual shareholder meetings, award events, receptions, employee anniversaries, Christmas parties, ground-breaking and ribbon-cutting events, employee and management portraiture... I've done most everything when it comes to people and special events.
And some weddings, of course!
It's through this variety of experience over many years that I've developed an eye and awareness for what is really happening in an event -- to preserve the essence of your special day.
